Use the tool on either the inside or outside slide rail, as shown. Do not apply pressure to the upper inside slide where the venturi is located beneath the tubing, as this could damage or distort the area.

When positioned this way, the tool provides approximately 270 degrees of working access. Turn the slide over to reach the remaining overlapping area. Use only the pressure needed to remove the dent and restore the tubing.
One of the greatest benefits of these trombone tools is that you no longer need to bend the slide or the mandrel during dent removal. You can also roll oval tubing back to its proper round shape while keeping your trombone mandrels straight.
This technique extends the working life of your mandrels, reduces replacement costs and supports more controlled, precise repairs.
